Beach Romance Interrupted by Sharra and Larry’s Anger
EXT. PANAMA CITY BEACH – SUNSET
Golden light spills across the shoreline. Waves crash softly. The breeze carries laughter.
BROOKE and ISAIAH walk barefoot along the wet sand, their footprints trailing behind them.
Brooke wears a light beach dress, her hair flowing freely. Isaiah is in a relaxed shirt and shorts, smiling as he watches her.
They stop near the water.
BROOKE
(laughing softly)
I didn’t think we’d actually come here… just us.
ISAIAH
(grinning)
Sometimes you gotta stop thinking… and just live.
He gently pulls her closer.
Brooke rests her head on his shoulder. Peace. Comfort. Escape.
A wave rushes in, soaking their feet.
They laugh together.
BROOKE
This feels… different.
ISAIAH
Yeah. It feels real.
They lock eyes. A quiet moment stretches between them.
Isaiah leans in slightly—
Suddenly—
A SHARP VOICE CUTS THROUGH THE AIR.
LARRY (O.S.)
BROOKE!
Both freeze.
Brooke’s smile instantly fades.
They turn.
Standing a few feet away—
LARRY and SHARRA.
Larry’s face burns with anger. His jaw tight. His fists clenched.
Sharra stands beside him, arms crossed, eyes cold and disappointed.
Silence.
Tension fills the air like a storm about to break.
BROOKE
(shocked, whispering)
Larry…?
ISAIAH straightens, stepping slightly in front of Brooke.
Larry walks closer. Each step heavy. Controlled… but furious.
LARRY
(voice low, dangerous)
So this is what you’ve been doing?
Brooke swallows hard.
BROOKE
It’s not what you think—
LARRY
(interrupting, raising his voice)
DON’T.
The waves crash louder, as if echoing his anger.
SHARRA
(cutting in, calm but sharp)
We saw everything, Brooke.
Brooke looks down, guilt flashing across her face.
Isaiah steps forward.
ISAIAH
Look, man—this isn’t your business—
Larry steps right up to him.
Close. Intense.
LARRY
(staring him down)
The moment you involved her… it became my business.
A tense silence.
The wind picks up.
BROOKE
(pleading)
Larry, please… just listen—
LARRY
(turning to her, hurt mixed with anger)
Listen to what? That you lied? That you hid this?
Brooke’s eyes well up.
BROOKE
I wasn’t trying to hurt you…
LARRY
(scoffs)
Too late for that.
Sharra watches Brooke carefully.
SHARRA
(disappointed)
We trusted you.
Brooke looks at her, shaken.
BROOKE
I just… needed space.
LARRY
Space?
(laughs bitterly)
So you run off to the beach with him?
Isaiah clenches his jaw.
ISAIAH
You don’t get to talk to her like that.
Larry snaps.
LARRY
And you don’t get to stand here like you didn’t know what you were doing!
They step closer—
Almost face to face.
BROOKE
(shouting)
STOP!
Everyone freezes.
Brooke steps between them.
Her voice trembles—but she stands firm.
BROOKE
This isn’t helping anything.
She looks at Larry.
Pain. Conflict.
BROOKE
I didn’t plan this… it just happened.
Larry’s expression softens for a split second—
Then hardens again.
LARRY
Things don’t “just happen,” Brooke.
People make choices.
Silence.
The weight of his words hits.
Brooke looks down.
Isaiah gently places a hand on her shoulder.
Larry notices.
His anger spikes again.
LARRY
(sharp)
Don’t touch her.
Isaiah doesn’t move his hand.
ISAIAH
I’m not leaving her.
Sharra steps forward now.
Her voice calm—but firm.
SHARRA
This isn’t about fighting.
She looks at Brooke.
SHARRA
It’s about respect.
Brooke’s eyes fill with tears.
BROOKE
I didn’t mean to disrespect anyone…
LARRY
But you did.
A long pause.
The sun dips lower. Shadows stretch across the sand.
Everything feels heavier now.
ISAIAH
(quiet but steady)
We didn’t mean for it to go like this.
Larry shakes his head.
LARRY
It already did.
He takes a step back.
Breathing hard.
Trying to control himself.
LARRY
(to Brooke)
You could’ve told me.
Brooke finally looks up.
Her voice barely audible.
BROOKE
I was scared.
That hits deeper than anything.
Larry pauses.
But the anger doesn’t disappear.
LARRY
Well… now you don’t have to be.
He turns away.
Sharra looks at Brooke one last time.
A mix of disappointment and sadness.
Then she follows Larry.
Footsteps fade into the distance.
Brooke stands still.
Frozen.
Isaiah gently pulls her into a hug.
She doesn’t resist.
But she doesn’t hug back fully either.
Her eyes remain fixed on Larry walking away.
The sound of waves fills the silence again.
But now—
It feels empty.
FADE OUT.
