Larry Goes Airport to Bring Lyntee and Jaden

 INT. AIRPORT TERMINAL – DAY

Crowds move in waves. Announcements echo overhead.

LARRY stands near the arrival gate, eyes fixed, restless… but smiling.

He checks his watch again. His foot taps with excitement.

Passengers begin to emerge.

Larry leans forward, searching.

Then—

He sees them.

LYNTEE walking beside JADEN, both carrying bags, scanning the crowd.

Larry’s face lights up.

He raises his hand high.

LARRY
Lyntee! Jaden!

Lyntee freezes for a moment… then breaks into a wide smile.

Jaden nods, relieved.

They rush toward him.

LYNTEE
Dad!

They embrace tightly.

Larry holds him longer than expected… emotional.

LARRY
I missed you so much, son.

Jaden steps in. Larry pulls him into a hug too.

LARRY
Jaden… glad you’re here.

JADEN
Good to see you, sir.

They pull back.

A brief silence… filled with unspoken feelings.

LARRY
Come on… let’s go home.

He grabs one of their bags before they can protest.

LYNTEE
(smiling)
Still the same, huh?

LARRY
Always.

They walk together toward the exit.

EXT. AIRPORT PARKING – DAY

Sunlight hits their faces.

Larry opens the car trunk, loading bags quickly.

LARRY
Long flight?

JADEN
Yeah… but worth it.

LYNTEE
Let’s just say… we’re glad to be here.

Larry nods, understanding more than they say.

They get into the car.

INT. CAR – MOVING – DAY

City roads pass by.

There’s a comfortable silence at first.

LARRY
Things will be different this time.

Lyntee glances at him.

LYNTEE
Different how?

Larry exhales slowly.

LARRY
Better. For all of us.

Jaden looks out the window… thoughtful.

JADEN
Hope so.

Larry notices the tone… but stays calm.

EXT. LARRY’S HOUSE – EVENING

The car pulls into the driveway.

A quiet, suburban home.

Inside the window… a silhouette moves.

INT. LIVING ROOM – EVENING

BETHANY stands near the window, arms crossed.

She watches as Larry steps out of the car… followed by Lyntee and Jaden.

Her expression tightens.

BETHANY
(under her breath)
So… it’s true.

She turns away quickly… composing herself.

EXT. HOUSE – CONTINUOUS

Larry walks toward the door with excitement.

LARRY
Welcome home.

Lyntee looks at the house… taking it all in.

LYNTEE
Feels… strange.

JADEN
Yeah.

Larry opens the door.

INT. LIVING ROOM – CONTINUOUS

The door swings open.

Bethany stands there.

Still. Silent.

Her eyes move from Larry… to Lyntee… to Jaden.

Tension fills the room instantly.

LARRY
Bethany… they’re here.

A pause.

BETHANY
I can see that.

Her tone is controlled… but cold.

LYNTEE
Hi…

Bethany forces a small smile.

BETHANY
Hi.

Another silence.

JADEN
We didn’t mean to—

BETHANY
(interrupting)
It’s fine.

But it clearly isn’t.

Larry steps forward, trying to ease things.

LARRY
They’ll be staying with us.

Bethany’s eyes snap to him.

BETHANY
You decided that already?

LARRY
I told you—

BETHANY
You mentioned it. That’s not the same thing.

The air grows heavier.

LYNTEE
We can leave if this is a problem—

LARRY
No.

Firm. Immediate.

LARRY
You’re not going anywhere.

Bethany exhales sharply.

BETHANY
(quiet but sharp)
This is my home too, Larry.

LARRY
And they’re my family.

The words hit hard.

Jaden shifts uncomfortably.

JADEN
Maybe we should just—

BETHANY
No… stay.

She steps aside.

BETHANY
Since you’re already here.

Her smile doesn’t reach her eyes.

Lyntee walks in slowly… unsure.

Jaden follows.

Larry closes the door behind them.

INT. LIVING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER

Bags sit on the floor.

No one moves much.

BETHANY
How long?

LARRY
As long as they need.

Bethany nods slowly… absorbing it.

BETHANY
I see.

She turns away… heading toward the kitchen.

BETHANY
Dinner’s almost ready.

Her voice sounds normal… but her shoulders are tense.

INT. KITCHEN – CONTINUOUS

Bethany grips the counter tightly.

Her reflection in the glass… shows the truth.

Anger. Fear. Uncertainty.

INT. LIVING ROOM – SAME TIME

Larry looks at Lyntee and Jaden.

LARRY
Give her time.

LYNTEE
Will she be okay?

Larry hesitates.

LARRY
She will.

But he’s not fully sure.

INT. KITCHEN DOORWAY – CONTINUOUS

Bethany stands quietly… watching them from a distance.

Unseen.

Her eyes soften for a brief second… then harden again.

BETHANY
(whispers to herself)
This is just the beginning.

FADE OUT.
